Under the Federalist system outlined in the Constitution, each region/state gets proportional representation in the Aryezi Parliament. Currently the proportion is 1:1, but this can change, according to law. This means that if the region of Aryez has 3 citizens, it sends 3 delegates to the Parliament, thus it gets 3 votes. Aryes may get 2 votes, and Region X might get 1, while Region Z gets 8. Because the proportion is currently 1:1, this is equiviliant to every citizen getting at least one vote, it is important to note this system if the proportion changes. Also, due to this system, a citizen who is a citizen of more than one region gets a vote for each region. Thus say citizen Xon is a citizen of Aryez and Aryes, he will get a vote from Aryez and a vote from Aryes, although when voting he must specify if he is voting from Aryez or Aryes. So that is how Aryezi federalism works. One might ask: what if someone is a citizen of 10 regions? The answer is, he will get 10 votes. Of course, this is theoretical, because a region must accept one's citizenship, and it is doubtful that any region would grant one induvidual so much power. Although not a law or in the Constitution, I will not allow anyone to belong to more than 3 regions (Imperial Decree 1).
